Christopher Y. Chan is an attorney and former international business consultant with experience in Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, and the APAC region. Chris recently joined one of Singapore's hottest start-ups, RedMart, as its Director of Legal and Government Affairs. Prior to joining RedMart, Chris was General Counsel for Silicon Valley tech startup doxIQ while transitioning to Singapore. Chris left his practice at top international IP firm Finnegan Henderson to complete a prestigious clerkship at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as the first law clerk to the former solicitor of the US Patent and Trademark Office and newly confirmed Appellate Judge Raymond T. Chen focusing on IP, International Trade, and Government Contract cases. At Finnegan’s Washington, DC headquarters, his practice centered on complex patent litigation and he also handled many transactional matters. Prior to entering the legal profession, Chris helped Fortune 500 companies model incentive compensation programs and opened the group’s first international office in India.
