Christy Bishop

Christy Bishop's portfolio of work reveals her deep personal connection to the ocean and the life within it. She has focused on marine life since her days as a young mother, when her family vacations took her to beaches in Hawaii and the Caribbean.

Already certified to dive and possessing college-level training in art, Christy Bishop went on to expand her education. She earned a degree in design technology with an interior design concentration from Ivy Tech Community College, after which time she earned a bachelor of science in applied management (BSAM) from Franklin University.

Christy Bishop then studied fine arts for two years. She completed her education in 2014 and became a full-time artist. She relocated to St. Augustine with her family in the same year. Since then, she has continued to make art that communicated the joy of the natural world through color, tecture and detailed imagery.
