Thanks for visiting!

For me, personally, being one who practices faith in Christ is more important than anything else in life. Anyone can say they believe in Jesus & His gift of salvation but it takes actively praying, believing, & loving others unconditionally to truly grow as a believer & understand *what it is vs what it is not*. There are too many believers in the world who are not living in the true love & light of what salvation offers. I hope for my legacy to one day be that when others think of me, their hearts turn to Jesus & the beautiful gift given to each of us on the old rugged cross instead.

I married the love of my life at the young age of 19. Life hasnt been easy but together we have gotten through it because we are committed to our marriage and love one another.

I am a collector of quotes, an avid reader, & listening to music is part of my therapy. There's just something about sitting in a quiet, dark room breathing deeply & listening to lyrics. I also enjoy writing when able to articulate (brain damage from all of the surgeries).

I was a (Rural, Non-Profit) Sr. Addictions/Mental Health Counselor/Case Manager before life took a crazy turn. I was forced to medically retire in 2012 after multiple brain surgeries & unable to bounce back after two in one month. I have two ventricular-atrial shunts (brain to heart). I also struggle with chronic lymphocytic pleocytosis (aseptic meningitis), a suspected csf leak from ears and nose, trigeminal neuralgia, spinal lesions @ the C5-C6 & C7 of my upper spine, and 2 of the 4 ventricles in my brain are permanently collapsed. I remain ever hopeful one day we will get an answer to the agonizing 24/7 pain. It may keep me down but I refuse to allow it to have my positive attitude & focused perspective -most days. Gratitude in the smallest of blessings is my spirit's solace.

Sit with another during the darkest moments of their lives, walk with them through their water-filled valleys...THAT is how I learned to deal with the raw experiences of my own life. The amazing journey of counseling others taught me some of life's most valuable lessons. My clients allowed me the privilege to bear witness to their most incredible moments.

I'm 6+ yrs into this proverbial valley but have faith God is going to see me through. I feel I will be better equipped to help others once again in some capacity.

This page, much like life itself, is a work in progress. Blog coming soon. Blessings!
