Christy Flynn

Hello! My name is Christy, and as the card reads, I am both Teacher and Student these days. I have been a teacher in Ontario since 2007 and other than the years I spent at home after my two children were born, I have been in the same school for my entire teaching career! Currently, I am an Administrator at our school and I am working towards furthering my education and getting more experience in both the Academic and Business sides of running a school. I do not really have a podcast, but I adore the Positive University podcast with Jon Gordon - I recommend it if you have any sort of commute!

I am very interested in the different roles that the Guidance Department plays. I have been in this role for several years and find it interesting working with Counselors and Admin from other schools and Boards, sometimes other countries. We are often support systems for other staff members, parents, future and past students and more. Resources are always important so I look forward to gaining more throughout this course.
