Chrysula Winegar
Chrysula Winegar is the founder of Wake Up World Communications. A communicator, agitator and mother, she has had an extensive career in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States in traditional marketing communications and project management with companies like Ernst & Young, NatWest UK and Estee Lauder Companies. In more recent years she’s focused on strategic digital engagement with organizations such as the United Nations Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Teach for America, EngenderHealth, Johnson & Johnson and others, creating and leading innovative campaigns to create awareness and action on behalf of some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
Chrysula is a well-regarded speaker -- presenting at conferences and events like UN Week's Social Good Summit, Moms +SocialGood, Mom 2.0, Type A Parent, Blissdom, BlogHer. She has guest lectured for the Marriott School of Business and for many other groups on women and leadership, workplace flexibility and digital activism. Chrysula has written for the Huffington Post, Moms Rising, the United Nations Foundation and elsewhere and was a Disney Babble top 25 blogger for social good.
Chrysula has degrees from the University of Queensland and the University of London.
