They've called me JimmyChuck in Texas and I've liked it! Wife and I moved down here from Ohio in 2001. Made an abrupt career change from a job where I was a Principal but headed for layoff due to shrinkage to a new job where the company was getting two great employees. Unfortunately, the company let me go some 18 months later! The good news is that they have kept my wife and she has excelled there! Good company called GaiaTech!
Fell in love with Geology-the numbers and physical side of it. Got a B.S. in Geology with Physics at Youngstown State University. Followed that with a M.S. in Geophysics at the University of Akron. Did my Master's thesis work when Bernie Kosar led Miami U to the national championship over Nebraska in 1983! After finishing the Master's, went to Kent State University for 4 years and studied Hydrogeology, Geophysics and Engineering Geology.
During the time living in the Midwest, had 4 beautiful children with ex-wife Laura. Unfortunately we divorced in 1993 (and have been fighting through lawyers ever since!!). The children are grown now and I've remarried a most wonderful woman, Myra, my soul mate!! We live near the south end of the DFW International Airport and like to go to cultural events in Fort Worth and sometimes Dallas.
We love it here in Texas. The people are friendly and a wonderful bunch. The weather is unpredictable, but yesterday in the first week of March, it was 88 degrees! We never saw that in Ohio.
