Ever since I first saw Sesame Street goes to China when I was 6 years old I wanted to move to China. It was my dream. Two years ago, I was living that dream with my wife in Chengdu, China. I was happy and content, making good money and doing what I love. I did not want anything to change. To make things even better, our first son was born! I didn't think life could be any better.

Shortly after our first son was born, my wife told me we had to return to the United States. I was stubborn, and refused to hear it. She told me that the pollution in China was too much, and would hurt our son. I still wasn't having it. We were constantly fighting, and things began to get difficult. Then, one night when we were ratcheting up and about to really get into a big fight, my son, three months at the time, began to cough. Not a normal cough, either, but a real cough. I was so ashamed of myself for not leaving and putting my son in danger for my own selfish pursuits.

We moved back to the United States shortly after, and I immediately set out to get a job at SolarCity, where I hope to change the course of not only our great country, but the world. I have seen firsthand what humans do to the environment, and I am determined to not allow that happen here.
