A Managing Director for Gordon Haskett Research Advisors, Chuck Grom has almost 20 years of experience as a financial analyst specializing in supermarket and department store stocks. His expert analysis has been called upon for numerous CNBC stories and he has earned numerous awards throughout his career. Prior to his current position, Chuck Grom served as managing director for CRT Sterne Agee from 2013-16, where he was a member of the firm's stock selection and approval committee. While there, he ranked in the top five of the company's internal sales force survey for three consecutive years and was awarded a Top Earnings Estimator award in Multi-Line Retail by Thomson Reuters.
Chuck Gromhas also held Managing Director positions at Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan. He started at J.P. Morgan in 2002 as a senior analyst and, in 2005, became lead department stores and broadline analyst, a specialty he has focused on ever since. He was promoted to Managing Director in 2010.
Prior to being hired by J.P. Morgan, Chuck Grom worked as an Equity Research Associate for Salomon Smith Barney and as a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen LLP. An Economics and Accounting graduate of Holy Cross College, he earned his CPA in 1998 and his CFA in 2002.
