Chuck Ripley

I'm a professor of English at Winona State University in southeastern Minnesota.

My research interests include William Blake (the famous Romantic poet, painter, and engraver) and Edward Young (the once famous poet, playwright, and clergyman whose poem Night Thoughts was illustrated by Blake). Much of my work is motivated by the intersections between literature and devotion.

I also serve as the chair of the Winona Human Rights Commission. The commission can mediate claims of discrimination and seeks to educate the Winona community on issues of human rights and discrimination.
