My interest in design started when I was in elementary school. Back then, all the boys were crazy about sneakers, like Air Jordan, Nike, and Adidas - I am one of those boys. Since I could not get all of the shoes I liked, I began to draw them when I was in school, and at home. I spent time sketching the works of famous designers, which inspired me to design my own sneakers. In middle school, a classmate encouraged me to take part in a competition held by Converse and a magazine company called Slam. Two of my designs won prizes, and were published in the magazine. After, I realized that design is the only work that I want to do.
Now that I am an adult, my design interests are no longer limited to sneakers. I pay more attention to architecture, furniture, cars and also many small items such as pens. I have become very particular when I select items to purchase. I always think that if I could design this item, what would it look like? The reason I chose interior design is because all of the little things that I care about are going into the space that I am working on. I want all of the items in the space to work well together and be visually interesting.
In addition to design, I am also interested in music from collecting vinyl records to attending live music. I enjoy traveling, and photographing the experience.
