Chukwuma Matthew Ogonnaya

Chukwuma Matthew Ogonnaya is a humanitarian aid worker with over 10 years of result-based health volunteering activities with the Nigeria Red Cross Society. He was the Assistant Secretary Nigeria Red Cross Society Ezza South Division in Ebonyi State, 2012-2013. Sustainable development enthusiast who is very passionate about gender justice, access to quality education, Climate justice and good health and wellbeing.

Matthew is the President NGO Founders Global Network Nigeria Chapter.
He is an environmentalist and certified climate champion by the Federal University of Agriculture Markudi (FUAM) Center for Innovation in Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards (CIPESS). And the Nigeria Focal Point person for the Intergovernmental Negotiations Committee, INC-2, program of the UNEP.

He is a Co-Founder of Susew Human Development Foundation (SHDF). He holds a Higher National Diploma degree in Microbiology from the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Nasawara State.
He once served as the Liaison Officer Students Anti-Corruption Vanguard- a student body of Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) at the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State, where he was confirmed a Comrade by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, (ICPC). Past President Gender Vanguard Group Garki.

He serves as the Technical Support Staff with the Global Fund Resilient and Sustainable System for Health (GF-RSSH) II Project Management Unit (PMU) at the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
He is the Head Operations and Head Media and Information at the Community Action Against Plastic Waste Abuja. He has also served as the Manager First Aid and Emergencies with Project Pink Blue - Health & Psychological Trust Centre. Matthew is a Childhood Cancer Awareness Ambassador and Management Team member at OKAPI Children Cancer Foundation, OKAPICCF.

He is also the North Central Community Engagement Team Lead for World Top 20 Project of the United Nations SDGs.

He has received recognition awards on his commitment, passion and dedication to service to humanity and fight against extortion and sexual abuse in schools and in Childhood Cancer Awareness.
