Chulso Moon
Dr. Chulso Moon has specialized in using gene therapy to treat cancer for over a decade. He has contributed to research that has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Experimental Biology and Medicine, Genomics, Clinical Cancer Research, Gene Therapy, Cancer Letters and Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications. Dr. Moon also has several manuscripts pending publication, and he has served as the principal investigator in three clinical trials. In addition to a notable list of publications, Dr. Chulso Moon teaches and has worked in a number of other professional capacities. Since 2001, he has served the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, first as an Assistant Professor and then as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. He also worked as an Attending Physician at Johns Hopkins. Additionally, Dr. Chulso Moon developed his administrative skills when he acted as Director of Medical Oncology at Cleo Craig Memorial Cancer and Research Foundation in Lawton, Oklahoma. He established a billing system, trained personnel, and developed professional relationships with pharmaceutical representatives. Dr. Chulso Moon’s impressive educational background provided the foundation for his career. He received his medical degree from the Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1990 and interned at its hospital the following year. Dr. Moon then enrolled in a PhD program in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His mentor and thesis advisor at Johns Hopkins were both Nobel Laureates. Dr. Chulso Moon finished his practical training with a residency in internal medicine at Pitt County Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in oncology and hematology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
