I turned 25, my perspective on life changed. Who knew? It is hard to describe my previous perspective, as I spent much time staying up late, hanging out, eating poorly; a whirlwhind you know? Now that I have entered my mid-twenties I can finally begin to not only have the pieces of the puzzle, but I can start to put them together in an effort to form a cohesive pircture. This cohesive picture is formed by me life's priorities.

In honor of the Best Man Holiday, my top three priorities are God, Relationships, and Wealth.

The first two priorities: God and Relationships are extremely personal. They are internal, and I have complete control of them both. My time spent with God depends on me, my most intimate relationships are solely up to me.

Yet, there is one priority that I have little control over: wealth. I followed the touted path. I went to college, I got a job after college. All of those things are great. However, at the rate I am going I will never amass any wealth. I am in the bottom 99%. Now let me expain my stance. This is not an outlet for an angry rant, it is simply an observation.

Despite my background which includes a high school education from Lakeside School in Seattle, WA (Bill Gate's Alma Mater), a degree from the prestigious Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, my current occupation as a math teacher. I am by no means poor intellecutually or economically. I am however, no where near where I would like to be.

My wealth priority does not stem from a place of greed, but rather a place of wanting to experience life freely on my own terms.

I want to say when I work, how I work, and where I will work. I want to eat entirely organic. I want to have a house in Seattle and Texas that I OWN so that I can travel between states at any moment visiting parents, siblings, and friends. I want to establish an organization that provides a personal tutor for children in the public school system. All of these things are wants and can only be funded if I make the kind of income a small percentage of people make. I know some people will cast my desires off as impossible and unrelaistic, but I refuse to think like that.

Wealth is going to require that I think outside of the box. That I create and actually do-something!

As I grow on this wealth journey, I would love to share it with as many people as possible. I hope we all can realize that to achieve the unlikely you must do the unlike
