Shanghai Archives of Psychiatry
Founded in 1959, the Shanghai Archives of Psychiatry is China's inaugural psychiatric journal. Transitioning to a bimonthly, all-English publication in 2012 with Chinese abstracts, it aims to foster global collaboration in mental health research. From 2014, free Chinese translations of each issue are available online. The journal spans various topics, including original research, systematic reviews, and specialized sections on research methods and biostatistics. It accepts submissions in English and Chinese, undergoing stringent peer review. With an 85% rejection rate, accepted articles are edited for clarity and published online pre-print. This open-access journal is free to read and distribute, indexed in major databases, and adheres to COPE's ethical standards. It's supported by a diverse editorial board and the Shanghai Mental Health Center, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
