Following are My Reflection on the 4 attributes of a lifelong learner as you can see from my profile picture designed by me (i.e. my artifacts):

1) Personal Capability Building:

My career as a Marine Fire Fighter requires me to be always updated with new fire fighting technologies and equipment.

In order to be always updated with the innovations in my field, I need to adopt a growth mindset and be a curious life-long learner. I personally recommend the use of sites like emtechwiki to explore the existing tools and technology in the market for improvisations on the approach and deliverables of a project.

2) Ability to Communicate and Collaborate Effectively:

The ability to communicate and collaborate with my teammates is most critical. This ability helps build trust in the long term to ensure great teamwork and leadership. To improve on the delivery of lesson plans with the use of bite size videos, I will be exploring the use of the 'Active Presenter' tool that allows me to create interactive eLearning content in HTML5.

3) Ability to Innovate Creatively:

As a trainer, I will need to increase the engagement and interest index with my trainees. Hence, I will explore the use of 'Kahoot' to weave into my ice-breaker segment so that games can be more interactive even with the implementation of safe management measures in view of the pandemic situation.

4) Ability to Think Critically:

As a firefighter, I am required to 'think on my feet' at situations by applying critical thinking so that the correct decisions are proposed to be executed in an event of an emergency. This includes the ability to identify outlier (untrue facts) that I may mistakenly react to. One of the platforms that I found useful is the 'Hoax or Fact' site which one can contribute to the site with an attempt to spread knowledge and wisdom. In other words, the truth can be out in the light in this public-led site.
