Chunyi Kuang

Coming from China, I speak Chinese, but I also learned to speak English. I immersed myself in English by going to an American School. Not only were there language differences, but I’ve learned a lot about the cultural differences too. Math and science are my strong subjects and I get to focus on those classes. As an athlete I like many sports but ping-pong and rollerskating are my passions. As a competitive ping-pong player I won a local championship in China. Sports are good to maintain my health. I believe in working together as a team and I support the team’s goals and efforts. I look for more challenging situations because I thrive under pressure and can produce more. I am also diligent and persistent - I stick with things until they are done. I am proud of my accomplishments, especially when they turn out as I’ve planned. I set high goals for myself - for instance I plan to graduate summa cum laude from the university of my choice. It’s my great honor to introduce myself to you here.
