chusss is a composer and a passionate guitarist from Cairo, Egypt born in 1979. He started playing and music composition on keyboards at the age of 9 but he always had the dream of being able to play the guitar to express the music he always had playing inside his head.
In 1999 chusss traded his keyboard with a cheap second hand classic guitar and that was a life changing decision. He started rapidly playing the guitar with zero previous knowledge then he started teaching himself music theory and guitar technique by studying some printed musical books and music magazines. Soon enough resources were available on internet.
From day one chusss was fascinated by his guitar and wrote many intros that later became popular instrumentals in online guitar communities and early independent music websites.
In Y2k he bought his first electric guitar and that too was a milestone when he realized nothing there was left to begin working on “The Visit” project.
Chusss has a personal approach in music composition and guitar playing that clearly has a strong Egyptian/Arabic flavor mixed with the power of rock music. It became very recognizable from the beginning of his journey as an independent D.I.Y musician.
“Chusss” is a nick name that appeared between friends and family members and it’s supposed to be derived from “Shawky”!
“The Visitor” is title that summarizes a personal philosophy and a viewpoint of the existence experience of life on this planet. This always was the center focus of all the instrumentals and albums released under this project.
Chusss utilizes melodies and tunes as soundtrack to accompany and describe life events that happen everyday, or profound experiences that shape reality and help develop every person’s mind and soul.
4 full albums were released in this project since 2000 when chusss started recording at his mini home studio.
In 2014 chusss released a compilation of the very best instrumentals that gathered special attention and top popularity after he re-recorded/re-mastered them in a 15 track album.
Between 2013:2015 chusss worked on his upcoming album “The Visit II” which is soon to be released in Feb. It is a concept album that contains 15 tracks of instrumental guitar mixing different genres in 60 minutes of total d
