Retired Teacher in Georgia

Support my charity

As I enter my halftime of life after retiring from education, I am currently working with Fayette Pregnancy Resource Center, as well as offering my time and attention in pursuit of other interests and volunteer opportunities. I enjoy spending time with my husband (Jeff), family, and friends. One of my joys is traveling; I want to visit all 50 states of the USA. Jeff and I can also be found hiking and backpacking the trails in the Southeast. Other favorite activities are water sports, snow skiing, dog sledding, reading, cooking, and playing with computers.

My desire to volunteer for community-based needs is shaped by my faith, time in the classroom, and my own learning/skill development.

As a Physical Education teacher, my mission was to help children reach their full potential - academic, physical, and social - by providing meaningful learning opportunities that focused on their physical health. My professional preparation included earning my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physical Education and Health. Later, I earned my Education Specialist's degree in Technology in Education.

What will I do with the next chapter of my "one wild and precious life?" I will love and spend time with people on mypath and seek to help those in need.
