Cindy Hernandez

Hello, I’m Cindy. I’m a student living in Cicero, Illinois. I am a fan of travel and have been abroad to Mexico and China, and across more than nine states! I enjoy reading and have met various authors and own signatured books. I am an avid promoter of diversity,and am currently in process of introducing the first Latino Affinity group in my school alongside another student, I hope to promote this affinity group beyond high school into colllege as well. I have various experiences being in a leader position at academic clubs but also in extra curriculars. Being a senior I have been fortunate enough to become a receptian of the Daniel Murphy Scholarship, Crystal Grant, Farther Foundation Scholarship and am currently a POSSE semi-finalist. I am extremely active in martial arts and swimming. Through Nazareth Academy’s BOOST internship program I was the only student offered two internships. I did unpaid internships at Countryside bank as a teller and at the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry. I then later on got hired as a seasonal teller at Countryside Bank.
