The Sevigne collection is designed in homage to the genius of legendary fashion and millinery design of the 1930′s to 1950′s. The daring avant-garde styles of the period, impeccable attention to detail and technique provide endless creative inspiration for modern millinery design.
Ladies’ fashion hats sold in these heydey years were sculptural and outrageous, often gravity defying and definitely whimsical. It is Cindy’s passion to honor the courageous style of these legendary hat makers in the spirt of her contemporary millinery today.
Ladies that wear hats today are discriminating collectors seeking out statement pieces. Thanks to these authentic ladies of style, artist millinery is getting noticed once again.
Cindy is a self-taught milliner and needle worker. She studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Previously she had designed the Satchelsful collection of handbags sold at Barney’s NY and Japan, Fred Segal and Tweeds Catalog amongst others. The designer resides in Chicago, Illinois, with New York, Paris and Germany as travel venues for creative inspiration whenever she can visit.
