Cindy Kelly

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Cindy graduated from Akron's Firestone High School in 1981 and attended The Ohio State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Having met the love of her life at OSU, she married him and followed him to Charleston, WV where they started a family. While in WV, Cindy began her real estate career as a rental manager for their apartment complex which included 70 units, several office suites & a restaurant. It was here she caught her "real estate bug"! After about 3 years in Charleston, Kevin got a job transfer back to Northeast Ohio and they chose Olmsted Township, a southwest suburb of Cleveland, as their home. Expecting their second son, Cindy immediately began work towards a real estate license and became a Realtor in May of 1989. Her first broker affiliation was with a now defunct company called Dolores Knowlton Realtors who had an office in Westlake where she hung her hat. She had some great training at DCK but left them after about 5 years to be with the company she felt was the best in business, Smythe Cramer Co. Expecting their third (and last!) son in 1993, she felt it was a good time to make this move. While at Smythe Cramer for over 15 years, Cindy worked in both their North Olmsted & Middleburg Heights offices. She stuck around a few years after the company merged with Howard Hanna but at the end of 2008 she decided it was time for a major change and joined RE/MAX where you'll find her today! Cindy loves people. She's driven by the relationships she builds and the lives she can positively impact in her life and business. Communication, organization and over 20 years of real estate experience are her strengths. Cindy also values education and has gone above and beyond her state-mandated coursework to obtain three real estate designations in her career: Accredited Buyer Representative, Graduate Realtors Institute and Certified Distressed Property Expert. She wants to give more value to her clients and feels that in an ever-changing industry such as real estate, continuing education is critical to her clients' success. Unlike many of her fellow agents, Cindy is client-driven, not transaction-driven, and she cares a great deal about her clients. Since her business has been built primarily on referrals, she works very hard to provide excellent service so that you'll want to refer her to all your friends and family. Cindy wants to be your realtor for life!
