Cindy Laquidara

Cindy Laquidara, from Jacksonville, Florida, is an experienced attorney who currently serves as a Partner with Akerman LLP. Cindy Laquidara's practice addresses complex civil litigation, and she has substantial experience in negotiating, litigating, and advising city, county, and national government law. Prior to her leadership position with Akerman, Cindy Laquidara served as the General Counsel for the City of Jacksonville. She began as the Chief Deputy General Counsel, a seat she hold for more than ten years.

In addition to her impressive career in the courtroom on behalf of the city of Jacksonville and Akerman LLP, she has strove to improve the lives of others via her extensive pro bono work. Cindy Laquidara has worked tirelessly to protect the rights of Jacksonville man who experienced attacks because of his religious affiliation, and to locate and repatriate the remains of fallen veterans.

Cindy Laquidara currently volunteers her time to support the Business Executives for National Security. This organization represents the interests of executives and supplies highly specialized insights and lectures on the topic of national security.

Outside of her professional and philanthropic commitments, Cindy Laquidara is passionate about a number of different pastimes. She and her son have become avid hikers and campers, seeking out the best trails in the nation. When not hiking, Cindy is active in fostering and training dogs.
