Cindy Lau

I am a graduate student in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering in TUHH, Germany with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia in October 2015. I have around 3 years of working experience where two of which was in food manufacturing industry. In order to get a taste of the global experience, I have taken one sabbatical month to travel and volunteer in Europe. I joined the volunteering program HelpX and because of the program, I had the chance to interact with people from all walks of life. My passion for volunteering work continues as I am now a proud volunteer in ENACTUS and IAESTE (LC Hamburg). I am a true believer of the chinese saying: Learning is like rowing upstream, you have to work hard to keep up with the stream’. Therefore, I am constantly improving myself to be better while trying my best to make the world a better place by working on process improvement and optimization.
