Tech Brand Builder and Marketing Strategist in Singapore
I landed my first job after graduation from university in 1999, working in a marketing role for a subsidiary of a leading ICT company based in Singapore.
Since then, I have been accumulating experiences in IT networking, cybersecurity, storage and software and SaaS solutions for more than 17 years with marketing roles in various consumer and enterprise startups as well as MNCs overseeing field, product, corporate/PR and channel marketing activities in Asia to influence preference for the brands I represent and drive demand.
Currently, I am responsible for field marketing strategies in the Asia Pacific region for Citrix, managing and coordinating functions and activities of the marketing team in areas such as localizing strategies and programs, leading marketing efforts on lead generation as well as supporting sales in large account marketing.
Previously I held partner marketing responsibilities at Brocade from 2014 - 2017 to engage partners to focus on Brocade’s solutions in Storage, IP and Software Networking and drive partner-centric value propositions, marketing plans and funding with key marquee OEM, Channel & Alliance partners.
Prior to Brocade from Dec 2013 - Oct 2014, I was an independent marketing consultant for a privately held data security startup based in California, USA where I was responsible for spearheading their marketing efforts in the APJ region. Before that in Mar 2012 - Nov 2013, I was one of the pioneering leadership team for cybersecurity company FireEye before their IPO and was responsible for building up the team and brand in Asia.
From Aug 2004 - Feb 2012, I was with Juniper Networks for seven years where I was then promoted to oversee the field marketing team of 17 people and budget of $16M. Prior to this role, I held field marketing south asia and channel marketing APJ responsibilities in the organization.
Before Juniper Networks, I was with Linksys (pre-Cisco acquisition) and Creative Technology holding marketing management responsibilities. Prior to that, I was with ST-Infocomm where my story started.
My passion is solving challenges and helping challenger companies optimize their marketing investments to grow their brand, influence preference and build market share.
