Who am I? A wife for 20 years, a mother for 12, a teacher forever. It's hard for me to turn that teaching gene off and just be a person, which I think drives my family crazy. One thing I do to keep myself from burning out is move around in education from place to place. I've been a teacher, counselor, administrator, curriculum coach and now an academic excellence coordinator. I always thought I would get more patient as I got older but I'm finding that's not the case. As I now experience education as a parent, I am more eager than ever to build courageous teachers and schools.
