Writer, Editor, and Journalist in New York
Cindy Rodriguez is an innovative journalist with 10+ years of experience with a proven track record for producing scalable quality & creative content while managing cross-functional projects. Most recently, she was the head of content for eVote.com, an online voting platform, where she was responsible for creating engaging videos, supervising remote freelancers, and nailing down the start-up's content and social media strategy.
She has produced content for NBC, CNN, Latina magazine, and Vivala.com, which she helped launch in 2015. One of her greatest successes was assisting in the launch HuffPost’s LatinoVoices in 2011. Two years later, she became the Editor for Latino audiences at CNN, where she was responsible for producing culturally relevant content in English across the network. Since then she has become well-versed in producing engaging, impactful and diverse content for English-dominant Latinos. So much so, that she co-founded a feminist podcast called Morado Lens where she and her childhood friend discuss embracing intuition as a form of empowerment, sex and culture all from a Latina’s perspective serving an organic monthly audience of 24K listeners.
She has freelanced for Voto Latino, New York Daily News, Cosmopolitan for Latinas, and HipLatina covering all things race, culture, travel, food, identity, and politics. Her journalism career also includes television production at NBC, public relations for the NFL, event coordination for MediaBistro.com, and online production for American Express publishing.
