Michael is an award-winning Cinematic Arts and Broadcast Journalism teacher. He believes in empowering students to express themselves in creative ways, and to create meaningful work that will have an impact on the world.
Michael is an author who speaks regularly at national conferences on topics ranging from education technology integration, to scholastic journalism, to social justice in schools. He is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Google For Education Certified Innovator and PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovator. He is the inaugural JEA National Broadcast Adviser of the Year.
