Christine Johanson

Hello! I'm Christine Johanson, certified Library Media Specialist currently employed at Briarcliff High School. For the last two years I have enjoyed working with students at the high school level and am skilled at implementing library initiatives that address the common core learning standards. I am proficient at teaching effective research and information literacy skills across the curriculum, and posess a unique perspective of student and faculty needs in realtion to rapidly changing technology and curriculum.

Prior to my position with Briarcliff High school I was the District Elementary Librarian in Mahopac Central School District where I managed three elementary libraries and one kindergarten center. I am confident my extensive professional experience provides me with a clear understanding of what constitutes a suportive learning environment and an effective library program.
