While in high school, I was in the concert band, jazz band, concert choir and a capella choir. I was a member of FCA, FCCLA, WYSE and the Volunteer Club.
I have been twirling the baton for 13 years and am the Feature Twirler for the Monmouth College Marching Scots. I am a two-time Illinois State Fair Intermediate Division Champion and a one-time Illinois State Fair Advanced Division Champion. I have been teaching baton for six years.
At Monmouth College, I am involved in the Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Chorale, Chamber Choir, Marching Band, Concert Band, Disney Club and Ignite Student Leadership.
As a member of Alpha Xi Delta, I have had the opportunity to raise awareness about and money for Autism Speaks. In 2013, we raised over $3400 during our main fundraiser, Xi Man. As an officer for the Disney Club, I have helped raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
