C. L. Craven

I’m a photographer in Chicago, IL. I’ve had a camera hanging from my neck since I was 12 years old and I’ve been working professionally since 2008.

There are two sides to my photographic life: The photographer side, where I specialize in outdoor, on-location portraiture (No lights or backdrops. Just you, me, the sun and my camera) of both people and animals. My style is simple, doing only minor edits and retouching. I approach photography with the intent of creating an image that expresses the person or animal that I’m photographing, so that when someone looks at it, they feel like they know a little something about them.
