My interest revolves around the improvement of assessment and measurement practices across education and psychology. Based at the Assessment Research Centre (ARC), I have the opportunity to work with fellow researchers, psychometricians and educators who are making this happen. My expertise is embedded in the application and statistical analysis of psychological measurement and assessment. At the University of Melbourne, my PhD identified a measurement methodology of 21st century skills through automated scoring and test delivery systems. Previous work as a Psychologist affords me the practical experience of psychometric testing, diagnosis and intervention.

I am an affiliated researcher with the Assessment, Curriculum and Technology Centre based at the University of the Philippines and also at the Science of Learning Research Centre in Australia. Most recently I worked as a consultant for World Bank (Vietnam) advising on the development of localised competency based assessment tools. I am an active member of the American Educational Research Association (USA) and the Learning Analytics Research Group (AU).

I am passionate about research dissemination and frequently present work internationally at conferences, educational institutions, workshops and professional development courses.
