Claire Brunner

Hi! I'm Claire, and I'm from Richmond, VA. I went to Freeman High School (not that that means anything to most of you) and am hoping to double major in English and Economics. I'm a recently-converted Auburn fan who was raised/corrupted by parents who both attended there. Fortunately, that's my only sob story.

I was really involved with music in high school but decided not to continue in college, which might seem weird. This is because my love and passion for music, for me, seemed to be diminished when competition and stress entered the picture. Anyways, my favorite artists are Lana del Rey, John Mayer, Bon Iver, Kanye, The Avett Brothers, Coldplay, and The Head and the Heart, among infinite others. I also feel like I can't be a true white girl and not say that I enjoy Netflix (primarily Mad Men, LOST, SVU, Parks and Recs, and House of Cards).

My proudest accomplishment not displayed on my application is single-handedly getting midterm exams cancelled for my entire county during my senior year after writing a well-worded redress of grievances and recruiting freshmen by the masses to email it to the superintendent. I guess he thought it was funny or something.

I'm also a moderate who is super into politics which seems ever-rare. My goal in life is to meet every single sitting President during my lifetime; I'm at three so far, so we'll see.

As much as I wish I did, I don't have any motivational Pinterest quotes to share or wisdom to express. All I that I really know is how excited I am for my freshman year. I'm sure I'll figure out the rest as I go. Thank you and Go Dawgs!
