Claire Johnson

I am the Recruitment Secretary for Gower College Swansea branch of UCU. I work on keeping the branch’s membership database information up to date, as well as helping to recruit new members to the branch. I am passionate about recruitment and retention of members, as well as ending the use of casual contracts where they are not wanted. My specialist subject is Ancient History, which I teach at A level, but I also currently teach WBQ and tutorial, as well as being in the process of developing a Foundation Degree in Heritage Management. In my spare time I enjoy gaming and cross stitch, but mostly I’m a Mum to my 16 month old twins!
