After years of working as a makeup artist, I wanted to expand my skills and learn a new trade so I became a hair stylist. I did my makeup training at Blanche Macdonald in Vancouver in 2005 and then graduated from the Aveda Institute in Calgary in December 2012. I completed my hair stylist apprenticeship in January 2014. I find it really rewarding to create a flattering look for someone. I love color; I love the challenge of formulating color and seeing the end result. I love how texturizing techniques can change a basic shape into something fabulous and edgy and I love showing my guests styling techniques so they can achieve that result at home. Being more involved in the process of helping someone feel beautiful is important to me. When I am not making people look fabulous, I enjoy snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, yoga, wake surfing, sun-seeking, eating delicious food, talking about delicious food I have eaten, enjoying wine, coveting/collecting jewelry, lattes, and sharing cute pictures of cats & dogs and cute animals in general. I hope to continue to work hard, travel lots, give back, create, teach, learn and practice gratitude. If I'm doing these things, I'll achieve anything I want.
