Claire Acevedo is a researcher in fracture mechanics and bio-mechanics. She is investigating the mechanisms by which bone resists fracture under fatigue loading.

Claire Acevedo obtained her PhD on fatigue resistance of steel bridge structures at EPFL Lausanne in 2011. She then received a fellowship award from the Swiss National Science Foundation to conduct her research on bone fracture in Ritchie Group at Berkeley, California.
