Claire is an Olympic, Pan American, Commonwealth and World championship medalist, and has more than a decade of experience as a professional speaker, communications consultant. She is currently an executive coach and Practice Leader at Impact Coaches, a global coaching firm.

She was a Director on the board of the Coaching Association of Canada, and the former Chair of AthletesCAN. In 2014, Claire was elected to the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth Games Canada (CGC). She holds a Masters degree from McGill and a PhD from Bangor University in the UK.

She is an award-winning published writer of fiction and non-fiction.
