On the wall adjacent to my lofted bed in my dorm room resides a collection of pictures from my high school days with my friends, family, and, most importantly, my dog. In trying to figure out what one thing I should share about myself in a short 200 words, only one thing really comes to mind: I am a dog-lover. However, I am not just any ordinary dog-lover, I am a pug-lover.

While this may sound strange to any reader, pugs have been a part of my life ever since I was little. I have always been known as “the girl who loves pugs” by my peers and even their parents. Anytime they would find something in a store or a post online related to pugs, they would send it to me. My pug has always been a constant in my life. If I was ever having a bad day, I could always count on being greeted by my crazy happy pug at the door. I could always count on my pug being down to just chill with me too. Though insanely high-maintenance, pugs have a contagious personality that I just cannot get tired of. Although I do not get to come home to my pug in college, I know that I will be able to look at the picture of my pug on my wall and immediately feel a sense of security.
