While I thought I was the original, amazing, young lady to use the semicolon as a movement and meaning of your story not being over, Project Semicolon was born from a social media movement in 2013. They describe themselves as a movement dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who are struggling with depression, suicide, addiction, and self-injury. Project Semicolon exists to encourage, love, and inspire.

Coming from a very broken background, and experiencing the healing grace of Jesus Christ, I would like to take the time in this blog to tell my story and hopefully impact others for Christ. We live in a hurting, broken world and all of us have stories to tell. Just like everyone else, there are parts of my story I am ashamed of - parts where I have sinned, and parts where others have sinned, and hurt me. But I believe in the healing of sharing our stories.

As Mary DeMuth says, “A broken person understands she needs rescue, and she depends on God to resurrect and deliver. And she also understands that even if God chooses not to deliver, His ways are higher and more amazing than what we can fathom.”

Here we go…

XOXO
