Hi, I’m Claire.
I am currently on a voyage, from the analytical land I have always considered my home to explore and nourish my creative islets. After spending 33 years accepting an indisputable truth that I had no artistic ability in any arena whatsoever (a belief nourished since my childhood inability to effectively cut and glue), I picked up a piece of chalk and drew a fairly passable impression of Mickey Mouse and friends for my then three year old.
Suddenly, my world turned on its axis, what possibilities lay before me. Maybe my ability to interpret legislation and regurgitate it at will, were masking yet unearthed talents. Perhaps those half-finished adaptations of
"Baby Sitters Club" books I wrote when I was 9, were also literary gems hidden in a 1995 IBM Compatible.
After three more years of limited action and many thoughts, I have set torch to my vast array of grey and black business suits, which in truth only the top half of which had seen the light of day for the last two years, matched with tights and an increasingly worn pair of backless Ugg slippers. I have taken a year off work to explore if there might be more to this creativity than mediocre imitations of other people's masterpieces, thus far I have managed to sit on a wet paint palette and create a rather fetching pair of jeans.
