I'm a qualified, professionally Chartered librarian currently working as Research Support Librarian for the Physical Sciences at Cambridge University Libraries. In this role I offer bespoke training and support to the research community across the school of Physical Sciences.

I’m passionate about professional development, both for myself and others and believe in the importance of working to increase your skill set. As a result I’m actively involved in the wider information profession:

• Associate Editor, New Review of Academic Librarianship

• Past President, SLA Europe Board

• Chartered Member, CILIP

I also work to advance professional knowledge through evidence based practice and contributing to professional knowledge through research. My current interests in this area include professional development and skill sets for the 21st century academic librarian.

My professional interests include leadership in the information profession, the importance of teaching skills, the application of social media in libraries and the development of library staff at all levels.
