Clanisha J Coleman

I am currently a senior at Simmons College of Kentucky. I am actively involved within my school and community. I am a Simmons Scholar, as well as a Scholarship and College Placement Consultant . Make It Count Consulting was established in January 2017. I have serviced over 50 people in there journey to financial freedom from student loans. Either helping to reduce the amount of loans a student has to use or the benefit of not having to take any at all. I started this business because I know how hard it is being a college student and trying to defeat poverty. I am a first generation college student with a 4.0 GPA. I have five years of experience working with youth ages 13-18 as Teen Coordinator for The Boys & Girls Club. I am now, currently, working as a full time Case Manager and Americorps Coordinator with young adults ages 18-24, at YouthBuild Louisville. Education is near and dear to my heart. I love to see people prosper in their journey to obtaining their college degree, that's why I have such a passion for the business I created. Aside from consulting students with scholarships and college preparation, this business also is a referral service to other opportunities and assistance for those who need additional help in other areas. I want students to succeed, but also succeed without the toll of heavy college loans.
