Cassidy Lankler. A name she hopes people will one day recognize and a name she hopes the crowd will one day scream. Cassidy cannot remember the moment she fell in love with music because she has always been in love with it. As a four-year old girl, she had her parents video tape her as she sang her first original song, “Will you give me my way?” Even at only four years old, Cassidy used music to express herself, as she sang, “Will you give me my way? I hope the answer will be yes, but I know it will be no.” Fourteen years later, Cassidy has written many more songs, has improved her singing voice, and learned to play the guitar and piano. Cassidy is constantly practicing and improving in order to one day record and release her music on iTunes. She has had parts in several musical productions, including the lead role of Tracy in Hairspray. Cassidy has also performed at several small venues and very much enjoys sharing the music that she has worked so hard to put together. She also loves attending concerts and listening to music, as it is her form of expression. Cassidy’s favorite kind of music is country, but she also loves finding smaller, undiscovered alternative bands. In addition to playing music, Cassidy would also love to work in the music industry and is currently majoring in Public Relations with a certificate in Music Business at the University of Georgia. She would love to be an agent or music supervisor in order to discover new artists.
