Clara Mangolin | Linguistic Services and Creative Projects
São Paulo, Brazil
Born in Campinas, a medium-sized (and growing) city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Age unknown. Since little has loved books, music and games, and now has grown up to work with these things.
Professional Profile: Basically, works on everything that involve creative thinking. Loves reading, therefore, has become a freelancer translator. Loves interacting with many people, therefore, is a languages teacher both at schools and as a private tutor. Loves beauty, therefore, works with Graphic and Web Design under the name of "Visual Key Design". Loves to boss people around even more, therefore, is working in a non-revelated enterpreneur project with some friends (hopefully it will be ready to launch in August). Finally, loves the entertainment industry and wants to have her own game development company sometime in the next five years. Would gladly be the game designer, with the knowledge gained by reading thousands of books. Wouldn't complain about being CEO either.
Academic Profile: Studies at State University of Campinas, also known as Unicamp. Graduated from Linguistics and Literature recently and currently is applying for a Master's title, also in Linguistics. Her academic works focus in the Gender subject and in the language of comics. Also learns about applicated linguistics and computational linguistics on her own, as some wild free-time appears. But, since studying always the same is boring and not nearly enough, also thinks on taking the entrance examinations for Computer Engineering at the end of the year.
Personal Profile: Engaged in making friends, specially if with people who shares some common interest, though different people are nice too. Doesn't bother herself about thinking of things she doesn't have - like a boyfriend. Truth is, nowadays, could have anything (cocky eh?). But if it's not a trip to Japan or a Kinect, she is just not interested. Uses her free-time (where? where is it???) listening to rock'n'roll and reading mangas, and eventually blogging.
