Clara is currently living in Boston, where she studies dance at Dean College. She started dancing at the age of three. Her senior year of high school she joined the Boston Ballet School where she performed in the professional production of The Nutcracker. Clara holds a performing arts scholarship at the Palladino School of Dance at Dean College. Here, she has studied ballet and pointe with Laura Young from Boston Ballet and Jeremy Ruth Howes, the Horton technique in modern with Gregory King, and jazz with Milsy Davis and Todd Shanks. In 2013 she performed in Dean College’s dance company, Change, performing pointe pieces from Laura Young and Jeremy Ruth Howes. Clara has also worked with the Franklin Performing Arts Company in their 2012 and 2013 productions of The Nutcracker, dancing roles of Arabian soloist, Spanish soloist, flowers, and mouse queen. Outside of the college atmosphere, Clara has danced in several professional summer programs, including Boston Ballet in 2009, the Boston Conservatory in 2010, Joffrey Ballet School in New York in 2012, and the American Ballet Theater in New York in 2013.

After graduating with a BA as a dance major and psychology minor from Dean College in May 2015, Clara hopes to move to the south and pursue dance as a career, preferably in a professional ballet company. She also hopes to work with underprivileged children and teaching the art of dance.
