Private Piano Lessons in New York City
Now Accepting New Students

Study with a Juilliard-educated pianist and veteran teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching beginners of all ages. Lessons are one-to-one, offering focused and individualized instruction that nurtures musical growth, discipline, and confidence.

I am the founder of Mitey Musicians, a curated program for preschool-aged children that introduces music through structure, creativity, and early learning strategies. My approach is thoughtful, patient, and tailored to each student, including those with learning differences or disabilities. I work closely with families to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive.

Lessons incorporate technique, music theory, ear training, and repertoire selection based on each student’s strengths and goals. Students are encouraged to pursue excellence and perform annually in a New York City recital.

What I Offer:

  • Customized instruction for all learning styles, including neurodivergent and special needs learners
  • Clear and consistent communication with students and parents
  • Structured lesson plans with yearlong progress goals
  • Thoughtful and appropriate repertoire for every level and background
  • Reliable scheduling, punctuality, and responsive communication
  • A nurturing, high-expectation environment that promotes steady growth

Why Choose Private Study?
Private lessons offer the kind of focused attention and adaptability that group classes cannot provide. Students learn at their own pace and receive instruction that is shaped specifically for them. This is especially valuable for students who benefit from personalized pacing or specialized strategies.

If you are looking for a serious, experienced, and supportive piano teacher in New York City, I would be glad to speak with you.
