Clare Hooper

I work as a Research Engineer at the University of Southampton's IT Innovation Centre.

My research interests include human-computer interaction (specifically, user experience and experience-oriented design), hypertext and web science. I have developed a method for analysing, designing and evaluating experiences (TAPT), as well as a hyperfiction system called Storyspinner.

I enjoy the challenge of interdisciplinary work and combining qualitative and quantitative methods -- which is handy, given the complexity of working in subjective areas such as user experience.
