Clare Kelly Duffin, B.A. (Hons), M.A., P.G. Cert. TLHE, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), Teaching Fellow and School Enhancement Developer at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS). Clare’s portfolio career sees her weekly practices span over a wide range of music education and entrepreneurial operations, including her role as CEO and Founder of micro record label, Clay Davis Records; as a Youth Music Leader; Music Artist Manager; and more recently, as author of chapter contribution made most recently to a new book, 'Music Entrepreneurship', published by Bloomsbury. She is also an active musician with Scottish rock band, Suspire. Her Ph.D studies commenced on a part-time basis in October 2014, focusing on work-ethic, micro-politics and aspects of collaboration pertaining to Scottish Independent Music Artists (SIMAs).
