Education ~ Currently a Junior studying advertising at the University of Illinois, Studying at the University of Leeds England in the spring of 2014, attended at the Creative Circus Portfolio School Summer Program in Atlanta Georgia summer of 2013.
Experience ~
-Currently I am a Vice President for the American Advertising Federation focusing on the Professional Development Team. For the past two years, I have managed a sub committee of 40 students in weekly meetings as well as in planning and hosting a wide verity of panels, events, and seminars. These events are done to better prepare UIUC advertising students for interviews, LinkedIn, job hunting and more. I have personally established four new events for the American Advertising Federation this year: City Nights Seminar, AAF Study Hours, Freshmen Rules of Professionalism Seminar, and the series of Advertising How to Events.
-Midnight Oil is on an on campus, student run, advertising agency that creates real work for local businesses. My current position is Copy Writer for the Cream & Flutter account. I work with the creative team to create print, online and social media based advertisements and present my work to the clients.
-I was a research leader for UIUC team in the National Student Advertising Competition last year. I led a research group that developed a marketing campaign for the Glidden Brilliance Collection. We conducted focus groups and surveys, which enabled us to develop a $10 million campaign. In order to participate at this level, I had to be organized, communicate with many large groups of people and combine my creative skills with my ability to plan.
- Winter internship at KemperLesnik Public Relations Agency, where I worked on data entry as well as social media research tutorials, and sat in on client meetings.
