I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014 with degrees in English Literature and Mexican American Studies. As I student, I was a candidate for the Bridging Disciplines Program, where I earned an interdisciplinary certificate in Education, Language, and Literacy through courses of study that integrated classroom, research, and internship experiences. As an educator from the Rio Grande Valley, I am dedicated to serving my Latin@ community through community involvement. I am passionate about working with youth, and bridging the gaps between racial/ethnic inequality and educational achievement.
