I am a violin teacher, researcher and performer based at Aveiro, Portugal. I finished a European Doctorate in Music/Instrumental teaching and my master degree in music/performance at the University of Aveiro. Also, I attended an internship under the Erasmus + programme at Institute of Education, University of London.

I had pedagogical training as a Suzuki violin teacher from Suzuki Association of the Americas. My activities as a violin teacher range from teaching violin at Escola Suzuki, as well as chamber music and orchestras in conservatoires and music schools in Brazil and Portugal. Also, I am the secretary and member of the founder committee of the Portuguese branch of ESTA (European String Teachers Association), and a member of the ESTA international working group "Public relations, publicity, communication".

My research interests range from Instrumental teaching to performance studies. I am also interested in strings pedagogy, artistic research and digital humanities. My recent publications include: “Instructions in one-to-one instrumental context: Identifying Retrieval cues” in Educate~ The Journal of Doctoral Research in Education (2013); "Exploring interpersonal communication in one-to-one Instrumental Lessons: Preliminary Results” in International Symposium on Performance Science (2015); “Otimização do ensino aprendizagem instrumental: um estudo sobre a memorização de informações nas aulas de violino” in Post-ip: Revista do Fórum Internacional de Estudos em Música e Dança (2013).

As violinist and performer, my concerts engagements encompass Brazil, Portugal, Spain and UK. In addition, I am part of the music group Atma Kirtana where my activities include composition, performance and public relations executive.
